Please Help - Air Pressure for Speedmaster Pneumatics

Hi,

Just want to know what is the air pressure in bars require to for 1982 Heidelberg Speedmasters VP with Alcolor but with Manual impression controls . I have a operations manual for Heidelberg S-lines also with Alcolor and Pneumatic Impression controls, the operations manual says the air regulator should be set at 6 bars. Should I set the Speedmaster air regulator also at 6 bars. I have ask around all most if not all says to set it at 8 to 10 bars. Just want to know what is written in the Heidelberg Speedmaster manual, officially, does anyone know? Appreciate the help.

pressmachines - The standard setting for Heideberg pneumatics is 7 bar (98 psi), the supply compressors that originally were supplied with the press had their high limit set to 10 bar, and low limit just above 7 bar. The regulator should not be set any higher than the above mentioned 7 bar, as the components on the press are typically only rated to 10 bar. Steve
